Senior Search Strategist - New York

The Media Kitchen is seeking a Senior Strategist to become a valued member of this visionary, creative media agency. Are you an ambitious search expert with a mind for approaching projects strategically, practically, and zealously? The Search Team is evolving to tackle programmatic responsibilities. As the Senior Strategist, you have an overall interest in media and driven to learn more about programmatic buying.

    On any given day you might
  • Work closely with Associate Director to identify and execute search campaigns.
  • Ensure all deliverables are executed on time and align with client objectives and business goals.
  • Ensure optimal internal communications processes between the search and social team.
  • Mentor, motivate, and ensure quality output for Strategists and Associate Strategists.
  • Plan, execute, lead, and optimize paid search across Google, Yahoo, Bing, and other search engines towards client metrics.
  • Maintain reporting for operational maintenance (e.g. budget trackers) and for client delivery, including reports that flow into greater media reports.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the client’s business objectives and audience in order to identify potential opportunities for keyword expansion.
    The ideal person
  • Has a bachelor’s degree.
  • Has 3-4 years of experience running paid search campaigns.
  • Has excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Has extensive experience as primary point of contact for clients, and presenting in front of senior clients.
  • Has the ability to work with tight deadlines and on multiple deliverables.
  • Has strong project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Has the ability to run search and YouTube campaigns with little to no supervision.
  • Has experience with third-party search platforms such as Marin, Kenshoo, and DS3 (Marin preferred).
  • Has experience trafficking URLs with ad servers, such as DoubleClick and Sizmek, and such as Google Analytics and Adobe Site-Catalyst.
  • Has experience managing a team (small or large.)
  • Has experience with display and social campaigns, such as GDN and Facebook, and fractional contribution partners, such as VisualIQ and Adometry, is a plus.
